First Bicycle Tour:
A 550-mile bicycle tour through Southern Utah and Colorado.
Whitewater
45 days and over 450 miles down the Green and Colorado rivers on rafts, a canoe and a kayak.
The first two weeks of our journey, with mountain biking, camping and fishing in Washington and British Columbia.

Weeks three and four brought us to the land of the midnight sun, with gold panning and encounters with bears.

We spent weeks five and six traveling up the Dalton Highway to visit the Alaskan Arctic, our northernmost section.

Our long, strange trip through the 49th state wraps up on the rugged coast of the southeastern panhandle.

Fishing in the ocean, exploring the unique towns of the Kenai Peninsula and biking across Anchorage.

TransAmerica Bicycle Tour
We began our cross country bicycle tour in Salt Lake City before crossing the Rocky Mountains in Utah, Colorado and Wyoming.
August 20 to September 3, 2003
We got a taste of "the good life" of the Midwest, camping and pedalling across Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.
September 4 to 25, 2003
We crossed the Mighty Mississippi River
into Illinois and the Ohio River into Kentucky, meeting many generous people.
September 26 to October 7, 2003
A blaze of fall colors lined the horizon of our final stretch through Pennsylvania and New York. In all we peadled 3,210 miles.
